Qualification

Athletes wanting to qualify for Osaka Castle Triathlon 2017 event must meet the following criteria.

For Elite Race
  1. Athletes selected by ITU recognized National Federations.
  2. JTU certified athletes.
  3. Athletes selected by JTU.
Age Group Standard Distance
  1. JTU 2017 Registered member.
  2. Age is 18 or older on December 31st, 2017.
  3. Holds at least one record of finished triathlon event after January 1, 2014. The total distance of the event must be more than, or equal to, 25.75 km.
  4. Capable of finishing each leg in less than the cut-off time.
Age Group Sprint Distance
  1. JTU 2017 Registered member.
  2. Age is 15 or older on December 31st, 2017.
  3. Able to complete swimming leg and finish the race in less than the cut-off time.
Team Relay (Sprint Distance)
  1. At least one team member has a JTU 2017 one-time team relay membership.
  2. Age of each member is 15 or older on the December 31st, 2017.
  3. Able to complete swimming leg and finish the race in less than the cut-off time.
